Lawsuits against them have tripled since 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<style type=\"text\/css\"><\/style><p>Since 2005, <strong>there have been 86 lawsuits<\/strong> (three times as many as in 2015, the year of the Paris Accords) filed worldwide against major oil, gas, and coal companies, such as: BP, Chevron, Eni, ExxonMobil, Shell and TotalEnergies. This was revealed in a report published by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/zerocarbon-analytics.org\/archives\/energy\/latest-trends-in-climate-litigation-against-fossil-fuel-companies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oil Change International e Zero Carbon Analytics<\/a> .<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-4634 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/deep-green.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Zero-Carbon-Analytics-1-1-300x214.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"553\" height=\"394\" srcset=\"https:\/\/deep-green.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Zero-Carbon-Analytics-1-1-300x214.png 300w, https:\/\/deep-green.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Zero-Carbon-Analytics-1-1-768x548.png 768w, https:\/\/deep-green.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Zero-Carbon-Analytics-1-1-580x414.png 580w, https:\/\/deep-green.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Zero-Carbon-Analytics-1-1-820x585.png 820w, https:\/\/deep-green.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Zero-Carbon-Analytics-1-1.png 825w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 553px) 100vw, 553px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The three main categories of lawsuits involve <strong>(1)<\/strong> climate change claims (38% of cases); <strong>(2)<\/strong> greenwashing (16%); and <strong>(3)<\/strong> greenhouse gas reduction measures (12%).
